Dr. Ara Jil-Agopian is a Board Certified orthodontist with exceptional academic credentials. He received his Bachelor of Science, from the University of California, Los Angeles. He graduated 2nd in his class from the University of Southern California School of Dentistry with a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. Upon graduating from dental school, Dr. Jil-Agopian was elected into the esteemed Omicron Kappa Upsilon dental honor society, and received the American College of Prosthodontics Undergraduate Achievement Award. Thereafter, Dr. Jil-Agopian completed his orthodontic residency, earned his specialty Certification in Orthodontics from the highly regarded U.S.C. orthodontic program, and received his Master of Science degree in Craniofacial Biology.
Dr. Jil-Agopian’s experience includes teaching and research. As an orthodontic resident, Dr. Jil-Agopian was an Orthodontic Clinical Teaching Assistant. He also researched the effects of the Damon Bracket System, which he currently uses in his practice. His research showed that when compared to traditional braces, the Damon System could be completed with significantly reduced number of appointments.
